It also includes farm-related facilities, such as cooling facilities, packinghouses, processing facilities, and various storage facilities. The company was founded by David Gladstone on June 14, 1997 and is headquartered in McLean, VA.

Gladstone Land owns 168 farms and nearly 54,000 acre-feet of water assets, with a 99.5% occupancy rate, but shares have dipped 20% over the last year.
